Impact of Low Inertia and High Distributed Generation on the Effectiveness of Under Frequency Load Shedding Schemes

The Under-Frequency Load Shedding (UFLS) scheme is an emergency measure in place to prevent system collapse the event of a large generation deficit relative demand at any moment time. However, effectiveness traditional UFLS schemes may be compromised as network power flows change due growth distributed (DG) and reduction inertia.
